Hampus Eriksson has been announced as the new Deputy CEO of PressEnter Group. He expressed excitement about his internal promotion, saying he was “thrilled to have been promoted to the role of Deputy CEO” and looks forward to working alongside other company executives to “lead this organisation to the greatness I know it can achieve.”
Previously, Eriksson held the role of CPO. In this role, in which he spent two years, Eriksson was responsible for rebuilding the company’s processes and product capabilities. He also led the company’s brand, XLBet, into Romania and Ontario.
Ontario has been noted as a particularly competitive market with the number of operators launching there following its 2022 online gaming regulatory regime change. You can find out more about this in our upcoming January/ February issue of Gaming America.
In his new role as Deputy CEO, Eriksson will remain responsible for his CPO duties. However, with the promotion, he will be provided a wider remit and will be responsible for executing the company’s 2024 goals.
These goals have been shaped by the company’s management buyout from November 2022, which laid down a strategy of ‘laying down foundations’ for long-term business growth. Erikkson commented: “Following the management buyout, the company is in a much stronger position with the foundations in place to deploy smart, effective strategies for growth.”
On his appointment, PressEnter Group CEO Lahcene Merzoug said: “Hampus has achieved great things since joining PressEnter Group and this promotion is a reward for his hard work.
“I have worked with Hampus for more than ten years. He is a highly experienced executive and product specialist… I am confident that we will continue to progress at pace over the months ahead.”
